The funeral ceremony of the late Dr. " katbab" was held.
The funeral ceremony of the late Dr. Ali Asghar katbab, a prominent professor at Amirkabir University of Technology, was held with the presence of professors, staff, students, alumni, and experts in the polymer and color industry. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Dr. Manouchehr Khorasani. Dr. Alireza Rahai, the acting president of the university, Dr. Morteza Ebrahimi, the dean of the Faculty of Polymer and Color Engineering, and Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh and Dr. Hossein Nazakdast, esteemed professors of the faculty, delivered speeches in honor of this great professor. The funeral prayer for the late professor was led by Hojatoleslam Rouhollah Rajabi, the head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at Amirkabir University of Technology.

The president of Amirkabir University of Technology, referring to the valuable achievements of the late Dr. katbab as a distinguished professor of this university in the field of polymer engineering, expressed hope that his students could fill the void left by this great professor.

According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology: Dr. Alireza Rahai, during the funeral ceremony of Dr. Ali Asghar katbab, a prominent professor of the Faculty of Polymer and Color Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, offered condolences to his family and the university community, saying: "He had valuable activities in every place and at every time, and with great dedication, he made valuable efforts to improve the scientific quality of the faculty and the university.

He, referring to the activities and responsibilities of the late Dr. katbab in the Faculty of Polymer Engineering, expressed: "He was an authority in his position and expertise, and today we have lost a great scientific authority.

Rahai also highlighted the contributions of Dr. katbab as the cornerstone of the Polymer Research Center, saying: "This research center, which is now a valuable institution, was founded by Dr. Katbab. He was also an authority in the field of rubber and related issues, and perhaps we do not have an expert with this level of scientific knowledge at the national level.

Rahai considered the products of his activities as very fruitful and recalled: "Some of our professors within the university have been trained by such professors, and I hope that all of us can fill the void left by him.
The loss of this great professor is irreplaceable for the scientific community.

Dr. Morteza Ebrahimi, the head of the Faculty of Polymer and Color Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, expressed his condolences to the family of the late Dr. Katbab and the Amirkabir University community, saying: "Undoubtedly, the loss of this great professor for the scientific and industrial community of the country, who benefited from his knowledge, is a great sorrow and an irreparable and unforgettable loss for the university community.

Professor Katbab was a great man and unparalleled in the field of elastomers.

Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh, a member of the faculty at Amirkabir University of Technology, said at the funeral ceremony: "We have all gathered to commemorate a distinguished professor and a noble scientist." He added: "Professor Katbab had a significant role and contribution to the development of polymer science and technology in Iran, and we are all indebted to his sincere efforts and dedicated services.
Mirzadeh considered Dr. Katbab as one of the professors who, during the war and in 1983, signed the establishment document of the Polymer Research Center of Iran in the presence of the then Prime Minister. In fact, he had a collaboration and played an important role in the development and establishment of that center.

The pioneering university professor stated: "He was part of the third generation of professors after the revolution who stood by the country and the education of Iranian students. Despite the opportunity for migration and even invitations, he chose to serve the country over his personal interests.

Mirzadeh emphasized: "The scientific and research services of Professor Katbab will never be forgotten. He was a great man and unparalleled in the field of elastomers. He was highly ethical, knowledgeable, organized, and committed to deep education and research. With integrity, he always defended the national interests of Iran and Iranians.
The late Dr. Katbab was one of the pillars of the development of polymer science in the country.

Dr. Hossein Nazakdast, a distinguished faculty member of this university, also described Professor Katbab as one of the pillars of the development of polymer science in the country at the ceremony, adding: "I have been with him for 50 years, and I remember a time when he made great efforts for the development of this field.
