An innovation-specialty center of department of polymer and color engineering, was established with the presence of Dr Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology
An innovation-specialty center of department of polymer and paint engineering, was established on the verge of the 42the anniversary of Islamic revolution with the presence of Dr Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology and Dr Moatamedi the Chancellor of AUT.
Creating innovation and technology centers started from two years ago in different departments of AUT. The purpose of establishing such a center in polymer and paint engineering department is to support, strengthen and advocate entrepreneurship culture. Our goal is that this center in addition to making connection with creative industries, will facilitate commercialization of the faculty member’s discoveries and develop and promote the innovation culture among students. In this center, the activities related to innovative groups is done by presenting collaborative workspace and necessary educational support. After this stage, the groups which have reached necessary development, will be able to settle in technology tower of Ibn Sina and number 2 technology tower in the university and can attract the private sector investors.
The Vice President for Science and Technology has made good efforts to establish and equip this innovation center of department of polymer and paint engineering, in a way that physical space and a part of needs were provided by the university and the equipment of the center was equipped by the help of Vice President for Science and technology. The purpose of establishing this center is to provide the possibility of more communication and cooperation between this department and the country's leading industries in the field of polymer and paint.
